Exhibition at The Danish National Art Library: «Perhaps when I am over the hump with my present work I shall be able to write a critical essay» Part three.
The assemblage entitled «Perhaps when I am over the hump with my present work I shall be able to write a critical essay» consists of three consecutive exhibitions in two display cases in the main hall of the Danish National Art Library – organized by Guattary Reading Circle. The exhibitions run in the period April through July 2015. At the opening of each of the three exhibitions a talk is presented.
The assemblage series is an extension of the ongoing research by the Guattari Reading Circle of the writings of the French psychotherapist, activist and philosopher Félix Guattari.
The third exhibition takes as its theme «Melodic lines and territories». It includes photocopied excerpts of texts by Félix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari regarding issues of the universe, birds, plants, insects and sex. These texts have all been studied in the reading sessions of the Guattari Reading Circle.
The text material is presented alongside a sculptural intervention by Guattari Reading Circle and the cactus collection of Stefan A. Pedersen
As part of the opening, it is a great pleasure to announce a bird listning session conducted by ornitologist Niels Kaare Krabbe.
The opening takes place Friday, June 26 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Exhibition period 26 June – 24 July 2015.
